OPTICON RadioNet Pilot (ORP) project approved by the European Commission

NSF begins planning for decommissioning of Arecibo Observatory

The world-famous Arecibo Observatory in Puerto Rico will be  decommissioned and demolished after the conclusion that the facility is at risk of a collapse.
