The Atacama Large Aperture Submillimeter Telescope (AtLAST) project has released its May 2026 newsletter, highlighting the transition into the new EU-funded AtLAST2 phase aimed at consolidating plans for the future observatory.
Recent activities include continued site characterisation work at Chajnantor in Chile, preparations for future user support services through a community survey, and new studies demonstrating AtLAST’s potential for transformative solar and submillimeter astronomy.
