The 9th meeting of the Planck and Herschel project on Cold Cores will be held from June 4th to 7th, 2018 in Besançon (France), hosted by the Besançon observatory (OSU THETA, Institute UTINAM and University of Franche-Comté) and co-sponsored by RadioNet. Recent results obtained by the collaboration about the early phases of star formation using Planck, Herschel, IRAM, Effelsberg and other ground-based facilities will be presented. Our analysis combine observations with numerical MHD simulations including radiative transfer and dust modelling. A large share of time will be dedicated to discussion of on-going and future projects, with the perspective of using the new instruments NOEMA, NIKA-2, SCUBA-pol and ALMA.
