On April 1, 2021, a new structure and partially changed task distributions and designations for the executive agencies of the European Commission have entered into force – a new structure and partially modified task distributions and designations for the executive agencies of the European Commission.
Responsibilities for the EU centrally managed programs for 2021-2027 have each been divided into thematically clustered portfolios.
Among others: REA (Research Executive Agency) continues to manage a variety of Horizon Europe sub-programs, namely the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, Research Infrastructures, Cluster 2 (Culture, Creativity and Inclusive Society), Cluster 3 (Civil Security for Society), Cluster 6 (Food, Bio-Economy, Natural Resources, Agriculture and Environment ), and the area Widening Participation and Strengthening the European Research Area.
