The German Astronomical Society awards the Karl Schwarzschild Medal to Prof. Dr. Anton Zensus, Director at the Max Planck Institute for Radio Astronomy in Bonn. This highest award for astronomers in Germany recognizes his leading role in the development of radio astronomical observation methods with very high angular resolution and sensitivity.
The medal will be awarded on 10 September 2024, at the annual meeting of the Astronomische Gesellschaft in Cologne, Germany.
