Breaking the Limits 2026: Super-Eddington Accretion onto Compact Objects

The international conference Breaking the Limits 2026 will focus on recent advances in the study of super-Eddington accretion onto compact objects, including black holes, neutron stars, ULXs, and AGN. Following successful editions in 2016 and 2018, the meeting will bring together observers and theorists to discuss state-of-the-art models, new observations, and the broader implications for black hole growth, galaxy evolution, and feedback processes.

  • 22–26 June 2026, Cagliari (Sardinia), Italy
  • Abstract submission is open until 31 January 2026,
  • Early-bird registration available until 28 February 2026.
