Radio Astronomy from Space – Session J03 (URSI GASS 2026)

Session J03, Radio Astronomy from Space: Science, Technology and Future Missions, will take place at the URSI General Assembly and Scientific Symposium (GASS) 2026 in Kraków, Poland (15–22 August 2026). Organized under Commission J, this session focuses on the scientific breakthroughs and technological advances enabled by space-based radio astronomy.

The session will cover past, current, and future missions – from space VLBI and mm/sub-mm arrays to ultra-low-frequency and lunar-based observatories – addressing topics such as black hole physics, cosmic dawn studies, exoplanets, transients, and solar and space weather. Invited and contributed talks, posters, and a dedicated community discussion will highlight synergies with next-generation ground facilities like SKA, ngVLA, and EHT, as well as opportunities for international coordination.

Abstract submission deadline: 25 January 2026
