Webinar “Imaging Magnetic Fields at the Edge of M87’s Black Hole” on March 25, 2021

On March 25, 2021 from 15.00-16.00 CET the Radboud University will give the webinar “Imaging Magnetic Fields at the Edge of M87’s Black Hole”.

The Event Horizon Telescope (EHT) collaboration, who produced the first ever image of a black hole, has revealed a new view of the massive object at the centre of the M87 galaxy: how it looks in polarised light.

Radboud University astrophysicists who lead the research, Dr. Monika Mościbrodzka, Dr. Alejandra Jimenez-Rosales and PhD student Sara Issaoun will explain the results and their significance for black hole research. Introduction and moderation by Prof. Heino Falcke.
