IRAM is seeking a qualified candidate for a position in the NOEMA Science Operations Group (SOG). The candidate is expected to invest 50% of the time on astronomical research programs in collaboration with astronomers within and outside IRAM and 50% of the time to support the commissioning of NOEMA subsystems, provide assistance to the scientific operation of NOEMA, support the user community in the preparation of proposals and observations, and provide technical expertise in the analysis and interpretation of data obtained with the NOEMA interferometer. Depending on experience and skills, the successful candidate may also take part in software developments aimed at extending NOEMA’s capabilities.
